Writer RIKO’s Diary 20 Oct.

I interviewed a Smaragh School of Studies lecturer at the University for the Elderly. People who desire to learn to gather at the University for the Aged, aimed at people aged 60 and over living in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima. When they learn about the course content of the department, they are surprised at the difficulty level. Nowadays, people are disadvantaged if they cannot use a smartphone. To eliminate the information gap, it is good that there are learning opportunities for older people to learn to use smartphones. Listening to the students, I was told there is no age limit to the challenge. The instructor’s words, “If you desire to do something, you can do anything,” were empowering.
