Diary

The town of Jinsekikogen in Hiroshima Prefecture is hot. When I visit the town hall, drone school, campsite, ranch, and wheel village, all of them are supported by enthusiastic people. Despite having a population of around 8,000 and an aging rate of nearly 50%, it is an exciting town with various activities as a “town of challenge.” I reported on two projects in this issue: the Jinseki International School, a boarding primary school, and the Gjo-in (seal of approval) launch in Yamashiro (Ancient Mountain fortresses). I can’t take my eyes off this town, which is full of enthusiasm and vitality and will continue to tackle new things in the future.
