More than 20 years ago, I visited the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, Kurashiki-city Okayama-pre. Japan, for the first time when I went to the Ohara Museum of Art’s Torajiro Kojima exhibition 70 years after his death. Torajiro is a painter who worked on the Ohara Museum of Art collection. Since then, I made discoveries every time I walked through the alleys, and it became a place I longed to visit. I bow down to the efforts of the people who have tried to preserve this townscape. I approached a person inside the Kurashikikikan, a rest area, who recommended that I watch the Kurashiki citizens’ original musical “Sakigake – The Dream I Drew with my true friend,” featuring Magosaburo Ohara. They had canceled the performance due to the Corona disaster, and Kurashiki Cable TV is streaming it on YouTube. I was delighted to discover another attraction.
